Application Process

Please read the information below before starting the application process

Check the eligibility criteria carefully.  It is important for you to understand if you can apply to PAG for a grant before making an application.

If you are eligible to apply for assistance you may apply here. You will need to register on the application portal before applying. All supporting documentation can be uploaded on the application portal. Please make sure that you also download a copy of the relevant guidance notes and privacy policy before starting your application. Ensure you check the guidance notes and guides for what documentation to supply. Failure to upload the correct supporting documentation can delay your application.

We will acknowledge receipt of your application form

If you do not complete the form correctly by completing all relevant sections, or if you do not supply the correct supporting documentation, we may come back to you to get further details or documentation.

When we have all the necessary information,  the committee will consider your application at one of our committee meetings. We hold Case Committees to discuss general applications eight times per year (on average every 6-7 weeks). We hold Further Education Committees four times per year (every quarter). If we have to get further information this will delay your application. We process applications in order of receipt.

The committee meeting that you are discussed at depends when you submitted your application, whether we have had to seek additional information/documentation and how many other people have submitted an application, as we can only take a limited amount to each committee meeting. We aim to process applications from submission within 6-8 weeks, however this can be delayed if there are lots of applications and we have to seek further information.

We will seek references as part of our decision making process. We need a successful reference before we are able to notify you of our decision. You will be notified of all committee decisions in writing via a message in the application portal. We will send you a proforma to complete before making your award. Payments are usually made between 3rd and 5th of the month.
