Thank you so much for helping towards our daughter’s school expenses. This is her most important year and with your help, she now has a really good chance of pursuing her dream of going to university.

Children’s Education

Criteria

If you have a postgraduate degree level qualification or the equivalent level qualification (level 7 on the education framework), you may apply for a grant/gift to help with your children’s education, if you fulfil the following criteria:

  1. Are aged over 18 years
  2. Are permanently resident in the UK and have recourse to public funds/state benefits
  3. Have claimed, or are in the process of claiming, all benefits to which you are entitled
  4. Have a genuine welfare need (for example: negative budget, housing insecurity, health related financial strain, caring responsibilities). 
  5. Have already applied to your own occupational benevolent fund for assistance (if applicable) and be able to demonstrate evidence of this
  6. Have less than £6,000 in savings if you are under pension credit age and less than £10,000 if over pension credit age
  7. Have a genuine welfare need (for example: Negative balance, housing insecurity, health related financial strain, caring responsibilities). 

How we help:

PAG can help with small grants/gifts towards your children’s education, if they are under 18 years of age and in full time education, with:

  • the cost of school uniforms
  • books, stationery, school equipment or travel costs
  • extra tuition fees
 

We do not help with:

  • private school tuition fees
  • childcare costs
